Today, February 10th, just after 1130 A.M., Spokane Police responded to the report of an assault in the area of the Jundt Art Center located in the 200 block of E. Cataldo Ave., on the Gonzaga University Campus.  The victim, who was jogging on the Centennial Trail, reported a male suspect grabbed her, wrapped her up in a blanket, and threw her to the ground.  The victim also reported the suspect was on top of her as she was on the ground.  The victim initially said the male suspect had no shirt, however additional witnesses said the male possibly had no pants.  The victim was able to get up, after the suspect ran away.  Spokane Police Officers arrived in the area within ten minutes of the call, and located the naked suspect, on the riverbank, south of the Jundt Art Center.  The suspect was identified as 45 year old male, James G. Jenness, and he was arrested for Unlawful Imprisonment.  Jenness was also trespassed from the Gonzaga University Campus indefinitely.

Spokane Police work closely with all the local College Campus Security Officers, and take student security very seriously.  If there is any outstanding witnesses from today’s events at Gonzaga, please call crime check at 456-2233.
